Applied TaeKwon-Do Sessions
These are special TaeKwon-Do session in which the focus moves away from both Syllabus (grading) work, and from sport style sparring. The focus is instead on TaeKwon-Do for self defence in realistic situations.
We cover self defence drills (partnered work), self defence techniques, applications of moves from Tae Kwon-Do patterns in realistic situations, take-downs, throws, grappling techniques, knees/elbows and low kicking etc.

Comment from Mr Mark Lawler from Chard TaeKwon-Do about the above session: "Excellent lesson a must in my opinion for anyone wanting to take their tkd self defence to the next level. Look forward to attending more lessons in the future. Big thanks."
Quote from Mr Martin on the Applied Blog: "It has always been my intention to develop the patterns into a valid self defence supplement to our standard TaeKwon-Do training. For me this is good because it gives the patterns a depth and meaning beyond just being an exercise to get the next belt or as a form of TaeKwon-Do aerobics.
As ever, in this session I felt I ran out of time - we barely got beyond Chon-Ji! 23 more patterns to go...."
Next Applied Session T.B.A. - dates will be posted here, or you can contact us to enquire.
