Return to Indoor Training at Hengrove

hengrove leisure centre

Tae Kwon-Do in Hengrove returns to training indoors next week – on Wednesday the 2nd of September.

We have had to make changes to some of the class times and locations. It is the adult class that has had to bear the brunt of these changes. Please remember these changes are temporary and as soon as we can return to our normal times and locations we will do! For the time being there will be no separate senior grade class on Wednesdays, but as normality resumes we will be looking to reinstate this class.

As with indoor training at our other venues, it is important to maintain social distancing. There will be new entrance and exit procedures. Please read ALL of the instructions below and also refer to the club covid safety guidelines.

For the time being (to reduce the number of people moving through the leisure centre), please access the main hall via the fire exit which is on the very left of the front of the building – to the left of the climbing wall (I will prop the doors open).

Please remember that parents and spectators are not permitted to remain in the centre whilst your child is training. Please return to pick up your child five minutes before the end of their class. Remember to maintain social distancing whilst waiting for your child. I (or one of my assistant instructors) will supervise their pickup from the fire exit of the hall.

Training times are:

  • Mondays: Kids Class 5:00 – 6:00 in the main hall
  • Mondays Adult Class 7:15 – 8:30 in the main hall
  • Wednesdays Kids Class 5:30 – 6:30 in the main hall
  • Wednesdays Adult Class 6:40 – 8:00 upstairs in the studio

To access the studio: Enter the leisure centre through the main entrance, go up the stairs and it’s the first door on the right. This is a nice big dance studio!

For the adult classes please do not forget yoga mats or bath towels. This will allow us to practice press-ups, sit-ups and stretching.

I look forwards to seeing you all back in the leisure centre!
