Autumn Black Belt Grading

There will be a Revolution TaeKwon-Do Black Belt Grading held at Ashton Park School, Blackmoors Ln, Bower Ashton, Bristol BS3 2JL on Saturday November 6th. All first kup black tags to arrive by 1pm, 1st Dan black belts and above to arrive by 2.30pm.

Application forms are available from your instructor. These and payment must be with your instructor by October 15th. Please also note that you are no longer required to provide an essay, and you do not have to provide us with any proof that you have attended any training session, courses or competitions. Due to the covid restrictions we have all faced, there will be no destruction at this grading.

Regarding theory; there will be theory asked at each grade. You will need to know the meanings of the pattern(s) of your grade. 1st Kups will be tested on Choong Moo and Dan grades will be asked the meaning of all three of the patterns of their grade. Patterns meanings will be available on our website at tkdbristol.com/members pages/syllabus and at revolutiontkd.co.uk/syllabus Big tip: check that you know all the weight distributions of all the stances that you have been taught so far. Check that you know the names (in English) of all the attacking and blocking tools that you use! Don’t know? ASK!

You will need to be in a white dobok (black edging for black belts) TAGB doboks are acceptable, as well as the new Revolution Doboks. You also need to bring full sparring kit – please ensure this fits, and is in good condition. Mr Downer will be there doing his old job!
